“Parliamentary Assembly of Organization of Black Sea Economic Cooperation that created 26 years ago has proved that it has great potential to suggest and implement different initiatives in order to transform the Black Sea region into prosperity zone”, said Ogtay Asadov, Speaker of Milli Majlis the Republic of Azerbaijan, at the 53rd General Assembly of Parliamentary Assembly of Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC).

The Speaker has stated that, unfortunately, armed conflicts occurring at the several states of our region seriously limit cooperation opportunities in the region: “It is more than 25 years that Azerbaijan suffers from Armenian armed aggression and occupation. We are sure that these conflicts will be resolved according to norms and principles of international law, as well as the principle of inviolability of borders and territorial integrity of states”.
