“The first coronavirus infection rate has been detected in the prison discharged from a city hospital. A contact case has occurred there. After that started to keep all contacts under control,” said Iftikhar Gurbanov, Deputy Chief of the Main Medical Department of the Ministry of Justice.
According to him, infection case among the prisoners is regularly reported to the public.
“There are random infection cases among prisoners. When the coronavirus infection case is detected, the quarantine is immediately ensured and the treatment and medical examination of that person are applied. Until now, there hasn’t been a prisoner with aggravated condition among the prisoners infected with coronavirus, all of them have recovered”, I. Gurbanov stressed.
