Emin Amrullayev: “Risky situation emerged for education system in Azerbaijan”

“Since September 15, education in general education institutions was organized in the traditional form, starting from primary school. They came to school twice a week in Baku, Sumgayit, and Absheron, and three times in other regions,” said Education Minister of Azerbaijan Emin Amrullayev at today’s press conference organized by Task Force under Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan, APA reports.

Education Minister noted that in the next stage, the upper grades were also involved in full-time education: “In total, one million and 300 thousand schoolchildren were involved in visual education. 2 million students and several hundred thousand educators are involved in the teaching process. Educational institutions are considered to be places that can increase infection cases. A risky situation emerged for the education system in Azerbaijan. Therefore, from October 19, 2020, to November 2, 2020, holiday was declared in all educational institutions across the country.”
