Professor Vildan Ertekin: "The most advisable way of protection from coronavirus is to wash frequently"

"Currently coronavirus has turned into one of the most dangerous diseases worldwide. The most advisable means of protection from this disease is to wash frequently", said Vildan Ertekin, Professor in Pediatric Gastroentology, Hepatology and Correct Nutrition of Atakent Hospital of Turkey’s Acibadem University in her statement to APA.

She said the main condition of protection of children from this virus is the maternal milk: "The children must be fed with maternal milk until their age of 2 without fail. Even one drop of maternal milk is like a medicine for a child. Therefore, a newborn child must be fed only with maternal milk for the first 6 months of his (her) life, and beginning from the age of 6 months and until the age of 2, a child must still be fed with maternal milk along with additional baby food. And the children of upper age must be kept far from the public gathering places. But if a child has to be taken to such a public gathering place as an airport then his (her) parent must put a protective mask on the child’s face without fail. The children’s hands must be washed frequently and the children must be fed with healthy foods".
