Salmonella found in frozen chicken meat imported from Belarus

70 kg of frozen chicken meat imported from Belarus to Azerbaijan by the Caspian Catering Supply LLC has been inspected by the employees of the Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AFSA), the AFSA told APA.

During inspection, samples have been taken from the imported products and handed over to the relevant laboratory of the Azerbaijan Food Safety Institute.

As a result of examination, salmonella, a pathogenic microorganism has been found in the samples taken from the product batch.

The relevant measures have been taken regarding the fact in accordance with the requirements of the legislation.
