“57% active cases are in Baku, 15% in Sumgait, 6% in Absheron and 3% in Ganja,” said Ramin Bayramli, chairman of Board of Administration of Regional Medical Divisions (TABIB), at the press conference of the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan, APA reports.
He said that the infection rate is low in Oghuz, Yardimli, Ujar, Zardab regions, while in Salyan, Neftchala and Ismayilli is high: “Recently, increase in infection is observed in Shaki and Yevlakh regions too.”
R. Bayramli noted that active patients continue their treatment in specialized hospitals: “If we do not reduce the level of infection in Baku, Sumgait and Absheron, the burden on health institutions may increase. Currently, several modular hospitals have also started to operate.”
