“The World Health Organization (WHO) is aware that the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) of UK has urgently approved the use of the COVID-19 vaccine BNT162b2, produced by Pfizer and BioNTech,” a WHO representative told APA.

It has been noted that WHO has obtained vaccine information from the manufacturer and reviews it for inclusion in the emergency list.

Note that Britain was the first country to approve the widespread use of the COVID-19 vaccine, developed jointly by Germany's BioNTech and the US company Pfizer. The use of the vaccine has already launched.
