Elections for the post of President of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) were held today, APA reports.
Academician Ramiz Mehdiyev was elected president of ANAS for the next term.

General meeting of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) has been commenced, APA reports.
Head of the Presidential Administration, Academician Ramiz Mehdiyev, Head of the Department of Humanitarian Policy Matters of the Presidential Administration Farah Aliyeva and the administration of ANAS are taking part in the general meeting.
Elections for the position of President of ANAS are being held at the general meeting.
Note that, President of ANAS, academician Akif Alizadeh has written a resignation letter due to his health.
