Azerbaijan to make genetic profiling of remains found in Edilli

If the relatives of any of the remains found in the mass burial in the vEdilli village of Khojavand region are not alive today, then genetic samples will be taken from their graves and examined by the court decision, said Adalat Hasanov, Director of the Forensic Expertise and Pathological Anatomy Unit of the Health Ministry, while informing the military attachés of foreign countries who were visiting Edilli.

He said that all these examinations require some time, 3-5 days, and one month is not enough to conduct this process.

The director noted that the genetic profiling of the remains would be made and compared with the 11-12 thousand samples in them, which will clarify which one they belong to.
