A Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Partnership was signed between the State Scientific-Research Institute for Labor Protection and Safety Engineering (SSRILPSE) of the State Agency for Safe Working in Industry and Mountain-Mining Control of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the "National Examination Board for Occupational Safety and Health" (NEBOSH), Ministry of Emergency Situations told APA.

The memorandum was signed by Mammad Baghirzadeh, director of SSRILPSE and Christian Hopper, Head of Business Development of NEBOSH for the United Kingdom and Eurasia.

The Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Partnership signed between SSRILPSE and NEBOSH aimed at strengthening the capacity through knowledge and experience exchange, organizing joint training courses and seminars, also expanding cooperation on relevant functions taking into account the principles of equality and mutual benefit between the two agencies.

A decision was made to create a joint working group consisting of representatives of the parties for implementing this.

In addition, the issues of organizing NEBOSH qualification training courses and the exam in Azerbaijani were also discussed at the signing ceremony of the Memorandum.

It should be noted that NEBOSH is the leading global organization providing health, safety and environmental qualifications. Thus, the internationally accepted qualifications provided by the organization help to increase the competence of occupational safety and environmental professionals as well as individuals at all levels in the workplace. Since its inception in 1979, more than 400,000 professionals have gained NEBOSH qualifications worldwide.
