“Korean government has allocated USD 1.2 mln. for the project of restoration of Karez Water Systems in Azerbaijan,” said Moon Jong Hyun, Country Director of the Korea International Cooperation Agency at “Karez Water Systems as an Architectural Monument, Sustainable Water System, as a Basis for Social and Economic Development” international conference dedicated to the project Comprehensive development of rural areas in the areas inhabited by IDPs through the restoration of karez water systems in Azerbaijan, APA reports.
According to him, after the completion of this project and 8000 IDPs return to their homeland, they will be provided with clean water.
