Filming on the resettlement of Armenians from Iran to Karabakh is postponed, director and scriptwriter of the film, the chairman of the Russian Cinematographers Union, the famous film director Nikita Mikhalkov told ONA's Moscow correspondent.
According to him, the script of the serial film “The Life and Death of Griboedov” about the life of a Russian diplomat, poet and playwright Alexander Griboedov, is completely ready, but shooting is still postponed.
Mikhalkov noted that the reason for this is the unstable situation in the Middle East, especially in Iran and Turkey:
“The situation in this region is unstable. Therefore, to send there a group of 500 people for filming is very risky. There are no problems with shooting in Azerbaijan. But the unstable situation in Iran and Turkey worries me a lot. Stop shooting the movie can not. Their termination due to any force majeure entails large monetary losses and means the failure of the task. Therefore, we are waiting for the situation in this region to stabilize. Filming has been postponed for now. ”
