Most of the detainees in the National Council's unauthorized rally today have been released, APA reports.
Ali Karimli, chairman of the Popular Front Party, his former deputy Fuad Gahramanli, chairman of the Azerbaijani People's Party Panah Huseyn, and others are among them. They were released after the warning.
Law enforcement officials said that while attempting to prevent the rally, PFP chairman Ali Kerimli, who was among the detainees, resisted police officers as they boarded him on the bus for proper documentation.
As a result, his forehead touched to the iron grille of the car and suffered minor injuries. Karimli was taken to the hospital of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where he was given medical care and released after receiving his explanation.
