The Azerbaijani President's Assistant for Public and Political Affairs, Ali Hasanov, has commented on him and the Azerbaijan government being targeted by a campaign on social network.
‘I’ve always considered non-ethical behavior as unacceptable both in my personal life and in political activities and I have stayed away from uttering words that clash with national moral and ethical values. I’ve called everyone to avoid such behavior on social media. I think of such efforts as an indication of being ill-mannered and weakness. Attempts to show a connection between the Azerbaijani government—as well as me in particular— and those who turn a blind eye to my advice and continue to use offensive language are slanderous,” he said.
Hasanov stressed that allegations that he is behind offensive comments made by different individuals are aimed tarnishing the Azerbaijani government and him personally.
