At the beginning of 2019 about 200,000 customers purchased BirKart installment cards, thus the current total number of BirKart holders has reached 430,000, and it may safely be said that Kapital Bank takes the first place in the installment card market, the Bank told APA.

“About 65% of all installment card holders in the country are BirKart holders. We are working hard to make BirKart more accessible and profitable,” the Bank’s Retail Sales Director Ramil Imamov said.

Speaking about projects within this sphere, Imamov noted that cooperation with the BirKart Non-Banking Credit Organization (NPO), established this year, is successful and presently there are 14 branches of NPO operating in Baku, Ganja and Sumgayit.

According to the director, BirKart installment cards are sold in NPO branches, customers are offered various types of services via the BirBank application, and answers are given to any questions regarding the services provided.

He added that until today, thousands of customers, most of whom do not draw their salaries through Kapital Bank, have purchased BirKart at branches and offices of NPOs and more than 70% of the limits on these cards are used for installment payments.

It should be noted that the BirKart installment card is a unique card from Kapital Bank, combining the possibilities of interest-free and non-commission installment plan. The card’ limit is 10,000 manat and the card’s validity period is 36 months.
