The European Parliament is planning to hold an extra plenary session between Christmas and New Year's Eve to give consent to a potential trade deal with Britain that will become effective after the post-Brexit transition period ends, Politico reported on Monday, APA reports citing Teletrader.
The meeting will most likely take place on December 28 and will give the European Union's members to "have the very last say" on the talks with London. However, according to sources, the event will occur only if the two parties previously reach an agreement that can be voted on.
