Chair of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova objected to representatives of international organisations using the expression ‘Nagorno Karabakh Conflict’ as she was talking to President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Margareta Cederfelt during her current working visit to Athens, Press and Public Relations Department told APA.

The use of the wording is inadmissible because Azerbaijan restored its territorial integrity through the historic victory in the 44-day Patriotic War, in which our country also enforced independently the resolutions of the UN Security Council demanding immediate, unconditional and complete withdrawal of the occupation forces from the territory of Azerbaijan. That conflict has been written off to history archives once and for all whilst a new stage – that of restoration and building – has set in across Azerbaijan and the region.

The boundaries of the economic regions of Azerbaijan were redrawn pursuant to the July 2020 decree of the president of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev; the two new economic regions of Garabagh and Eastern Zangazur were created simultaneously, Sahiba Gafarova said.
