Karabakh economic region has been established, it has been noted in the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev on a new division of economic regions in the Republic of Azerbaijan, APA reports.
According to the Decree, Karabakh economic region covers Khankendi city, Aghjabedi, Aghdam, Berde, Fuzuli, Khojaly, Khojavend, Shusha, and Terter districts.
It has been noted in the Decree that the establishment of the Karabakh economic region is significant in order to provide restoration and rapid development of ancient Karabakh region, which has special rich historical-cultural heritage, amazing nature, including Aghdam, Shusha, Fuzuli, Terter, Khojavend, Khojaly districts, and Khankendi city, as well as Aghjabedi and Berde districts, belonging to Karabakh region.
