Erdogan: “Turkish forces, deployed in Northern Syria will not to leave the region yet”

“We held both bilateral and limited meetings with US Vice-President Mike Pence yesterday. We announced joint statement, consisting of 13 articles, in the result of the meetings. A process of 120 hours has already started”, said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, APA reports citing NTV channel.

Turkish President stated that an agreement have been achieved on move away from the “safe zone” within 120 hours.

Erdogan reminded he will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin next week.

“I consider the meeting with Putin as an element of ceasefire agreed in Northern Syria”, stressed Turkish President.

Erdogan stated that Turkish forces, deployed in the north part of Syria will not leave the region yet.

Underlying his negotiations with the Minister of Defense, Turkish President noted that any clash in the northern Syria is out of question currently.
