China's First Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Dai Bing stated on Friday at the Security Council meeting that principles of international law must be uniform for all countries, APA reports citing Teletrader.

Dai noted that some countries, while stressing the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, are "blatantly interfering in other countries' internal affairs," saying it is putting their double standards at "full display." He added that expanding military blocks would never bring peace, and repeated that the Cold War mentality must be abandoned.

The representative stressed that China always maintained an objective and impartial stance, and will continue to play a constructive role with regard to the Ukraine conflict. The statement comes after Washington and Berlin expressed doubt about Beijing's position with regard to Ukraine.
