The number of people died as a result of the earthquake in Türkiye has exceeded 49 000, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said during his speech at the Extraordinary Summit of the Organization of Turkic States, APA's Istanbul correspondent reports.
"With the support of friendly an dfraternal countries, I hope we will eliminate the consequences of the earthquake in a short time. The Turkic world was one of the first countries to reach out their hands for Türkiye. Our dear nation will not forget your support," stressed the President Erdogan.
