Iran closes its borders due to Omicron

Iran closes land borders due to an increase of infection cases with the Omicron strain of a new type of coronavirus (COVID-19), APA's Tehran bureau reports.

Iranian Anti-Coronavirus Headquarters has adopted a decision in this regard.

Noted that Iran's land borders with Turkey, Iraq, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Pakistan are closed for 15 days from today.

It has been mentioned that since the beginning of the pandemic, Iran's land borders with Turkmenistan is closed.
