"Agreements with Türkiye on Syria's Idlib region are implemented slowly," said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu on the results of talks in Ankara, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.

He said Moscow was cooperating closely with Ankara on the Syrian issue.

"Concrete agreements have been reached during the meetings held between Presidents Erdogan and Putin, including the 2019 memorandum just mentioned by Mevlut. There was also a memorandum emphasizing the need to solve the problem in the Idlib de-escalation zone. In both cases, sure, the agreements reached in these important documents are implemented slowly, "Lavrov said.

Russian Foreign Minister noted that Moscow and Ankara share the goals set there: "We fully understand the concerns of our friends about the threats posed by foreign forces on their borders."
