Revised draft law on Azerbaijani Armed Forces to be tabled in parliament

The revised draft law on the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan will be discussed at a plenary session of Milli Mejlis (Parliament) on December 1, APA has learned.

The draft law that consists of 5 chapters and 16 articles provides the classification of the Armed Forces in the new form and lists the main tasks.

MP Zahid Oruj, who is also a member of the parliamentary Committee on Defense, Security and Anti-Corruption, told APA that the new draft law specifies what types of armed units can be formed in Azerbaijan.

The law on the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan was adopted in 1991 and consists of 10 articles.
