Launching of the plant for medical masks production in Sumgait city of Azerbaijan will fully meet domestic demand, Deputy Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Niyazi Safarov told reporters, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, if those products have been imported to the country to date, putting into operation the domestic production will eliminate dependence on imports.
“As you know, a number of foreign countries have banned the export of medical equipment and masks regarding the incident that occurred. As a result of the measures taken by the President for the health and welfare of the people of Azerbaijan, as well as the support provided to entrepreneurs, set background for the organization of such production in the country in a brief time,” deputy minister stated.
The Deputy Minister also added that medical masks produced at the enterprise will be sold from next week.
