Azerbaijan has exported 1,15 bln kWh electricity last year, said Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov at his performance at a meeting chaired by President Ilham Aliyev on the results of 2020, APA-Economics reports.
“The work has continued in the field of creation and restoration of electric power generation. Thus, in the framework of the relative programs, a total of 1,300 megawatts of power has been restored, and the construction of 385 megawatt Gobu power plant and substation is being continued. A new SCADA system is also being built” the Minister has said.
According to him, appropriate work is underway to build a new thermal power plant with a production capacity of up to 550 megawatts with the involvement of foreign investment.
