Azerbaijan to take part in opening ceremony of TurkStream

The Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov has paid a visit to Turkey to participate in opening ceremony of TurkStream Gas pipeline, the Ministry told APA-Economics.

The opening ceremony of the TurkStream natural gas pipeline will be held on Wednesday in Istanbul with the attendance of high ranked government officials, besides Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Russia's President Vladimir Putin.

Note that the project consists of two lines across the Black Sea, the first of which will serve Turkey with a capacity of 15.75 bcm, while the second line will serve Europe. Each pipeline is 930 kilometers in length, laid at depths reaching 2,200 meters.
