In 2017 the production and services in the sector of production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam made up AZN 176.9 million, down 0.2% by contrast to a year earlier.
Production in the water supply, waste treatment and processing sector dropped 5.2% to AZN 21.6 million.
In January 2018 Azerbaijan produced 2,176,100,000 kWh of energy, down 0.6% in comparison to 2017.
Of this, 108.3 kWh makes up water power, which is 6.6% less than previous year, 1,977.4 kWh is heating power production, down 1.8% by contrast to 2017.
Wind power stations produced 1.5 kWh of energy, up 7.1% from previous year. Solar power production increased 72.7% to 1.9 kWh.
