Putin comments on the unification of Russia and Belarus into a single state

“The issue of the unification of Russia and Belarus under a single state is not on the agenda today”, Russian president Vladimir Putin said in the live broadcast on "Direct Line", APA’s Moscow bureau reports.

“Here is a deal on the implementation of the Treaty on the Establishment of the Union of Russia and Belarus. It is not a single state. But it includes a number of elements, from the establishment of the alliance parliament to the introduction of the single currency. We have to work on issues that have not yet been realized in order to implement this contract.”, Russian president emphasized.
