5.6-magnitude earthquake shakes Kyrgyzstan

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 shook the ground of Kyrgyzstan on Wednesday, European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said, APA reports citing Teletrader.

The tremor's struck at a depth of 10 kilometers, with the epicenter registered 88 kilometers northwest from Aksu Prefecture in China and 275 kilometers from Kazakhstan's largest metropolis Almaty, the seismological center noted.

There were no reports of casualties or damage by the local authorities.
