Bakhtiyor Saidov approved as Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan

By the decree of the President of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov was approved as the country's Foreign Minister, APA reports citing Daryo.uz.

The Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis deputies endorsed Bakhtiyor Saidov's candidacy earlier.

Samarkand-born Bakhtiyor Saidov, 43, is a graduate of the Tashkent State Economic University (bachelor's and master's degrees) and the Institute of the World Trade Organization (Switzerland).

Besides, the incumbent Foreign Minister worked in various senior positions in Uzbekistan, including in the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment, and Trade, as well as in 'Uzbekengilsanoat.' In addition, he served as Minister of Public Education.

Bakhtiyor Saidov was appointed acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan on December 30, 2022.
