"Number of births of first and second children in Armenian families has decreased, but the number of births of third and fourth children has increased," Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia Narek Mkrtchyan said during the discussion of the state budget in the parliament, APA reports citing Sputnik Armenia.
The minister has also noted that this forecast has been made based on the results of the 44-day war.
He said that in the world experience, as a rule, an increase in the birth rate is recorded after military conflicts, but after the war, the exact opposite has been observed in Armenia.
