"Yesterday it was reported that that the largest-ever attack, backed by missile strikes was expected on Kyiv. Despite the several alarms sounded so far, no serious incident has been reported," Secretary-General of the Rada of Azerbaijanis of Ukraine Jeyhun Mammadov (Kasaman) told APA.

He said the situation remains tense in the city of Irpen, about 15 km away: "For more than three days, the city has been left without electricity and heating, and there is no food or water supply."

According to Jeyhun Mammadov, there are many appeals for evacuation: “Yesterday, 55 people were sent from Kyiv to Istanbul. Earlier, we evacuated 1,100 Azerbaijanis as a group. There are those who go to the border by car. Since it is difficult to say the exact number of Azerbaijanis evacuated from Kyiv today. We are witnessing migration in the country. Moreover, we try to provide food assistance to those who are helpless in the basement and in their homes. We are in contact with Baku to support the allocation of additional trains or buses. Because we have already lost coordination with some Ukrainian cities. "

The Secretary-General of the Rada of Azerbaijanis of Ukraine said that Turkey wants to evacuate its citizens from Sumy by bus today, which may be the last humanitarian corridor in Sumy. "A bus for 50 people was allocated for this purpose. There are more than 100 Azerbaijanis left there. But we may fail to take advantage of this opportunity due to financial difficulties. We are also in touch with the Embassy staff in Kyiv and the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora."
