"All lower-level election commissions that have committed election irregularities will be severely punished," said Mazahir Panahov, Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) today at a press conference following a snap parliamentary election in Azerbaijan, APA reports.
M. Panahov noted that election commissions that committed such violations will be dissolved: “We will take tough measures in this regard. Election commissions have no right to make mistakes, and even more so, to do it intentionally. If necessary, we will contact the law enforcement authorities.”
