"From the beginning of January to the end of May 2022, Central Election Commission has carried out the process of specifying and compiling voter lists in Azerbaijan," said Rovzat Gasimov, deputy chairman of the Central Election Commission, at the meeting of the commission held today, APA reports.
Rovzat Gasimov said that the number of voters in the polling stations might range between 50 and 1,500 people. "The work has been done in this regard since the beginning of May. The establishment of more than 1300 polling stations was also necessary regarding the requirement to strictly comply with the requirements of the Election Code. Since then, 832 new polling stations have been established in the territory of 103 new constituencies. A total of 6,274 polling stations will operate across the republic."
