Azerbaijan’s losses in oil pipelines increased by up to 17%

There was a loss of 0,7 thousand tons in oil pipelines in Azerbaijan in January-March of this year, which is 16,7% more than in the previous year, the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan told APA-Economics.

The loss in the oil pipelines across the republic made up 0.6 thousand tons during the corresponding period of the previous year.

Note that in IQ of current year, 9 500,8 thousand tons of oil were transported via main pipelines in Azerbaijan. 76.3% of the transportation was carried out via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan export pipeline (BTC).

Note that there was a loss of 2.9 thousand tons in oil pipelines in Azerbaijan in previous year, which is 12,1% less than in annaul comparison.

Note that 37 781,5 thousand tons of oil were transported via main oil pipelines in Azerbaijan which is 7,9% more in comparison to the relevant indicator of 2021. 78,7% of transportation was implemented via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline in 2022. During the reporting period, 29 749,6 thousand tons of oil were transported via the pipeline (12,6% more in comparison to the relevant indicator of 2021).
