Economy Minister: Azerbaijan becomes renewable energy exporting country

Azerbaijan is working on the diversification of the country's economy and exports, and I think that there are results here, Minister of Economу of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov said at the Azerbaijan-Lithuania Business Forum in Vilnius on May 22, APA's correspondent assigned to the city reports.

According to him, the volume of income from the non-oil and gas sector has doubled in the last four years.

"Although Azerbaijan traditionally exports oil and gas, we are also working on renewable energy and are already becoming an exporting country," added Mikayil Jabbarov.

Drawing attention to the strategic geographical position of Azerbaijan, the minister emphasized that in the last 20 years, huge investments have been made in the development of transport infrastructure.
