Poland does not rule out introducing a state of emergency if coronavirus cases continue to grow, Poland’s Prime Minister said on Thursday as the country saw another record daily spike in new cases, APA reports citing Reuters.

“If the situation continues to escalate and there will be a necessity to introduce new measures, we don’t exclude the possibility,” Mateusz Morawiecki said when asked if Poland could introduce a state of emergency.

Morawiecki added that virus restrictions for schools might need to become to be stricter.
