Two persons died from swine flu (H1N1) during recent 5 months in Georgia, said Amiran Gamkrelidze, Head of Georgia’s National Center for Vontrol of Diseases and Public Health, APA’s local bureau reports.
He noted one of the death cases was recorded in Imereti region, and another – on the territory of Adzhar Autonomous Republic.
“In both cases the patients appealed to medical enterprise for treatment too late. Both of them were persons of mature age. The flu further aggravated the main chronic disease of these persons", Amiran Gamkrelidze said.
