British Prime Minister Boris Johnson stated on Wednesday, answering questions of the parliamentary committee, that he is "very confident" inflation will abate "by next year.", APA reports citing Teletrader.
Although Johnson noted that an "inflation spike like this takes a long time to work through and we got to be realistic about that," he reiterated that the UK government will get inflation under control.
The prime minister underlined that the authorities will do everything to help people "with very substantial contributions to support them," adding, however, that the underlying causes of inflation need to be fixed.
