The Dutch government is preparing to relax coronavirus-related restriction measures from January 15, according to reports published by local broadcasters NOS and RTL on Thursday, APA reports.

Citing government sources, the media said that non-essential stores, hairdressers, and gyms would be allowed to work from next week, however, with a limited number of customers in all indoor venues. On the other hand, bars, restaurants, and museums are expected to remain closed.

While the government's official decision is anticipated to come tomorrow, the reports come despite a record number of daily COVID-19 cases in the Netherlands, which soared past 32,000 over previous days.
