Russian forces launched shelling in the Ukrainian town of Nikopol overnight on Friday, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast governor Valentyn Reznichenko announced, APA reports citing UNIAN.
"Almost 60 shells were fired at Nikopol, Marganets, and surrounding villages," Reznichenko said. According to the official, the area was shelled five times. However, the attack left no citizens hurt. "In the rest of the district, the night is free of alarms and emergency situations, and for the moment, it is calm," he said.
