At least 12 people have been killed in a Russian missile attack in Dnipro; dozens of residents are still missing as an overnight search continues, APA reports citing UNIAN.

A three-day mourning period has been declared in the city beginning from January 15.

“As you know, on the afternoon of January 14, terrorists hit a high-rise building with a rocket, where more than 1.1 thousand people live. The explosion completely destroyed one of the sections of the building. There are currently 12 deaths known. Also, 73 people were injured, almost all of them are now in hospitals," the Dnipro city council said in a statement.

It was noted that 14 children were among the victims.
