“As Turkiye, we did our utmost and continue doing for reducing the pressure of the war in Ukraine,” said Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu at the joint press conference with Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov, APA’s Turkiye bureau reports.

He noted with regret that the destruction, deaths, and human tragedies continue.

“In order to stop these dangerous processes, we continue our calls. Each of us has the same goal- the war should be stopped, people do not have to die. The bloodshed in Ukraine should stop. There are no winners in war and no losers in peace.”

Cavusoglu added that Turkiye supports Russian-Ukrainian talks held in Belarus, and hopes that it will yield results.
