The British Ministry of Defense stated on Monday that Russia would probably take years "to reconstitute" its elite units due to the military operation in Ukraine, APA reports citing Teletrader.
In its latest intelligence report, the ministry mentioned that "some of Russia's most elite units, including the VDV Airborne Forces, have suffered the highest levels of attrition."
In addition, the report asserted that at the beginning of the conflict, Moscow engaged more than "120 battalion tactical groups, approximately 65% of its entire ground combat force," with more than a quarter of them combat disabled.
