Another Azerbaijani taekwondo fighter reached the 1/8 final stage of the World Championship held in Baku, APA reports.

Taleh Suleymanov, who entered the stand at 87 kg, won his first fight.

He defeated Manuel Pollet (Belgium) in the 1/16 final - 2:0. Suleymanov will test his strength against Michael Rodriguez (US) in the 1/8 finals.

It should be noted that before Suleymanov, Aliaskar Aliyev (80 kg) and Patimat Abakarova (49 kg) also qualified for the 1/8 finals.

Another Azerbaijani taekwondo fighter took part in her first fight in a world championship held in Baku, APA reports.

Patimat Abakarova (49 kg) challenged Chena Murakami (Japan) in the 1/16 finals.

Abakarova ended the fight with victory with a score of 2:1.

Abakarova is qualified for the 1/8 finals and will fight with Botakoz Kapanova (Kazakhstan).

On the third day of the World Taekwondo Championship held in Baku, winners of 3 more weight classes will be announced, APA reports.

A member of the Azerbaijan national team Aliaskar Aliyev (80 kg) held his first fight at the World Cup against Abubakar Soumare (Senegal) in the 1/16 final round.

Azerbaijani taekwondo player won with 2:0 and qualified for the stage.
