Azerbaijan gets 22% decline in consumer lending

As of September 1, 2017, Azerbaijan-based credit organizations’ provision of crediting made up AZN 12,376,600,000, down AZN 4,463,100,000 or 26.5% from previous year, Central Bank of Azerbaijan told APA-Economics.

Household loans amounted to AZN 4,923,000,000 or 39.8% of provision of crediting, down AZN 1,349,700,000 or 21.52% compared to a year earlier.

Moreover, 17% of consumption loans fell to share of trade and services, 8.6% - transport and communication, 5.2% - industry and production, 4.4% - construction and property, 3.7% to agriculture and processing, 3% to energy, chemistry and natural resources.
