Baku – APA-Economics. As of October 1, 2016, the deposits placed by the population in the banks stood at AZN 7,813,900,000, of which 1,426,000,000 (18.25%) was in national currency, 6,387,800,000 (81.75%) in foreign currency, Central Bank reported.
Compared to a year earlier, the personal savings declined AZN 351.8 million or 19.8%. Savings in foreign currency increased 853.8 million or 15.4%.
Along with this, in September the deposits in manat dropped AZN 30.5 million or 2.1%, in foreign currency – AZN 87.6 million or 1.35%.
