As of March 1, 2017, deposits placed by the population in the banks amounted to AZN 7,101,800,000, of which AZN 1,463.7 million (20.6%) are in national currency, AZN 5,638,100,000 (79.4%) in foreign currency.
Compared to the previous year, the personal savings rose AZN 54.8 million or 3.9%. Savings in foreign currency declined AZN 1,030,300,000 or 15.4%.
Along with this, manat deposits rose AZN 11 million or 0.76%, the deposits in foreign currency descended AZN 656.4 million or 10.4% in February.
