Azerbaijan has sent a note to Russia regarding the illegal visit of Russian State Duma deputy Vitaly Milonov to the occupied Azerbaijani lands, the press service of the Embassy of Azerbaijan to Russia told APA’s Moscow correspondent.

Azerbaijan’s Embassy in Russia has sent a protest note to Russian MFA on the illegal visit of Russian State Duma deputy Vitaly Milonov to the occupied Azerbaijani lands violating the internationally recognized borders of our country.

The note reads that on October 16, Vitaly Milonov met with the head of the separatist regime and made very provocative statements directed to further escalation of the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan.

Additional to this, the note said that such provocative behaviors of the State Duma deputy of the Russian Federation caused justified anger of both the Azerbaijani public and the multimillion Azerbaijani community in Russia and aimed at deteriorating Russian-Azerbaijani relations.
